HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

As a lead person, this individual must possess both leadership and problem-solving skills. The lead person will assist the supervisor in meeting SQDC goals as well as Parts & Accessories responsibilities in a team environment.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

  • Execute daily shipping and order fulfillment activities in accordance with documented standard work and established schedules.
  • Print, review, and manage customer orders and pick tickets to ensure accuracy of ship dates, quantities, and documentation.
  • Accurately pick, verify, package, label, and ship customer orders in compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation (work orders, bills of lading, manifests, invoices, carrier paperwork) is complete, accurate, and properly recorded.
  • Monitor shipping schedules and past-due orders using OTS; communicate order status updates and required changes with Inside Sales.
  • Ensure shipments are correctly scheduled or removed from carrier pickup based on order readiness.
  • Confirm daily carrier pickups and complete order confirmations for all outbound shipments.
  • Run end-of-day carrier reports and upload daily shipping and order documentation.
  • Maintain on-time delivery performance, supporting a 98% DIFOT target, and document shipment discrepancies when they occur.
  • Request parts or materials as needed to support timely order completion.
  • Maintain shipping work areas, equipment, and supplies; notify leadership of maintenance or inventory needs.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and report safety concerns to leadership.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the shipping team and assist with order processing as workload requires.
  • Participate in meetings and communicate operational issues or improvement opportunities as needed.
  • Act as back up to Receiving Lead during their absence.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, knowledge of basic lean concepts (DDMS).

Experience and/or Training: The role requires experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on shop floor exposure, along with proven ability to lead and train employees in a team setting. Candidates should have a working knowledge of basic lean manufacturing concepts, strong organizational and documentation skills, and the initiative to conduct research, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. The position also requires the ability to report daily production, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, perform basic math, manage multiple priorities, and work a flexible schedule as needed.

Licenses/Certificates: Sit down Forklift. Stand-up preferred

Technology/Equipment: Microsoft Office, UPS World Ship, Smart Sheets, TCM, shared files and Teams
