Manager, Sales Channel Development

We are seeking a Manager, Sales Channel Development.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

Responsible for dealer development and commercial fleet strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion through WESTERN, FISHER, and SnowEx dealer and distributor sales channels.

Lead, plan and execute dealer development training initiatives and maximize utilization of dealer support programs to enhance, expand, and strengthen our overall market share position with commercial and municipal fleet customers. Support OEM and Allied partnerships leveraging sales channels.

Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify opportunities, develop sales enablement tools, and establish company goals and objectives.

Lead and manage Commercial Product Specialist direct report to execute plans and conduct in-person dealer and fleet training initiatives.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

  • Own and manage strategy for maximizing commercial and municipal fleet sales achieved through indirect channel
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver engaging content and maximize outcomes.
  • Ability to develop compelling value proposition and present to a wide audience of dealer and fleet principles.
  • Be comfortable relaying information and receiving questions and feedback both internally and externally.
  • Maintain commercial and municipal fleet CRM (Salesforce) database, track customer interactions, measure key success metrics, and facilitate collaboration between sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Work side by side with field teams and/or dealers to identify customer needs and business opportunities. Develop sales strategies and prospects/leads to secure commercial fleet business.
  • Gather intel and understand the competitive environment, identify opportunities to compete and win new business opportunities.
  • Propose fleet sales program strategies to maximize dealer participation and sales penetration.
  • Organize and/or participate in various trade shows, dealer open houses, commercial/municipal fleet conferences, end user events and training opportunities.
  • Conduct customer research and analyze data to develop strategic plans and identify potential fleet targets to field sales teams and/or dealers.
  • Partner with product marketing to become a subject matter expert on all brands’ product offerings, features and benefits as well as that of our competitors.
  • Coordinate with advertising and marketing promotions to develop marketing plans and lead generation opportunities and action plans.
  • Accurately and concisely report field intel in a timely manner through the provided CRM call report format. Develop, maintain, and provide market intelligence and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure a competitive position.
  • Work to meet all assigned product and sales goals and continually look for opportunities to grow the business.
  • Participate when feasible with cross functional teams formed to create continuous improvement efforts in systems and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel overnight 30%-40% of the time.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required with emphasis on Business, Marketing or Engineering preferred.

Experience and/or Training: Five to ten years related experience and/or training in commercial/municipal fleet sales, product marketing, and/or channel marketing within the work tuck equipment, compact equipment and/or utility vehicle market segments. Master’s degree preferred.

Communication Skills: Should possess a high level of written/verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.

Technical Skills: Must have extensive knowledge of lawn and garden, power equipment, construction and truck equipment industry including truck-related terms, applications, competitive information, etc.

Mathematical Skills: Position requires college-level mathematical skills.

Reasoning Ability: Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to think logically and practically before making decisions.

Licenses/Certificates: Employee must have an unrestricted license to drive an automobile, and able to travel using all modes of transportation, including air travel.

Technology/Equipment: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM database (Salesforce)

Additional Skills: Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to think logically and practically before making decisions.
