Field Sales Specialist

We are seeking a Sales Field Specialist.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

Responsible for educating commercial contractor fleets, municipal fleets, field sales teams, and WESTERN, FISHER, and SnowEx dealer and distributor sales channel partners about our brand’s products and sales enablement tools.

Develop and deliver training materials, ensuring a full understanding of product features, benefits, and proper usage to maximize value.

Collaborate with field sales and product marketing teams to identify opportunities, develop sales enablement tools, and tailor training to specific customer needs and market trends.

Support field sales and dealer/distributor partners with in-person and virtual dealer development and commercial/municipal fleet training initiatives to enhance, expand, and strengthen our overall market share position with fleet customers.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

  • Create comprehensive sales training content including presentations, product demonstrations, and interactive exercises to effectively explain product functionalities.
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver engaging training sessions.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for various audiences including commercial fleet contractors, municipal fleets, field sales teams, and dealer/distributor sales teams. Ability to adapt delivery style to different learning styles.
  • Organize and/or participate in various trade shows, dealer open houses, commercial and municipal fleet conferences, end user events, and training opportunities.
  • Be comfortable relaying information and receiving questions and feedback both internally and externally. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge. Maintain a deep understanding of product features, updates, and industry trends to ensure training remains accurate and relevant.
  • Be a first line of defense for product feedback and technical support. Answer product-related questions and provide technical assistance to trainees during and after training sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate training outcomes through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) database, track customer interactions, measure key success metrics, and facilitate collaboration between sales, marketing, and customer success teams
  • Work side by side with field teams and/or dealers/distributors to identify training needs, business opportunities, and fleet prospects/leads to conduct commercial or municipal fleet training.
  • Partner with product marketing to become a subject matter expert on all brands’ product offerings, features, and benefits as well as that of our competitors.
  • Build strong market awareness and knowledge of industry trends, competitor landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Coordinate with advertising and marketing promotions to understand dealer support initiatives and remain abreast of sales tools and co-op programs.
  • Accurately and concisely report field intel in a timely manner through the provided CRM call report format. Develop, maintain, and provide market intelligence and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure a competitive position.
  • Participate when feasible with cross functional teams formed to create continuous improvement efforts in systems and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel overnight 75%-80% of the time.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required with emphasis on Business, Marketing, or Engineering preferred.

Experience and/or Training: Two to five years related experience and/or training in product marketing, product development and/or channel marketing with durable goods. Experience within the truck equipment or compact equipment and/or utility vehicle market segments preferred.

Communication Skills: Should possess a high level of written/verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.

Technical Skills: Must have working knowledge of lawn and garden, power equipment, construction and truck equipment industry including truck-related terms, applications, competitive information, etc.

Reasoning Ability: Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to think logically and practically before making decisions.

Licenses/Certificates: Employee must have an unrestricted license to drive an automobile and be able to travel using all modes of transportation, including air travel.

Technology/Equipment: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM database (Salesforce)
