We are seeking a Human Resource Manager.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Provide comprehensive, progressive and pro-active human resource services that support the success and growth of TrynEx and its employees; to assure that policies and procedures are administered in a manner consistent with Douglas Dynamics (DD) policy, its mission, strategic plan and applicable laws; to work synergistically with the managers and supervisors within Douglas Dynamics to increase our impact and share our resources for the development of a superior work force.

Lead and initiate new and innovative HR practices to create a strong culture and high performing teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change through strong influencing and change management skills.
Assure the selection and hiring of a skilled, competent and diverse workforce by recruiting in appropriate markets, assisting managers to assess and select the best candidate, providing background investigations and conducting effective orientations to the Company.
Ensuring a dynamic pipeline of talent through rigorous performance management, e.g., leadership assessments, coaching and development of employees, candid and timely performance feedback.
Actively support and help drive DD Learning Organization initiatives.
Administer benefit policies with a high level of service to employees; review benefit programs to assure that benefits meet the needs of employees and are cost effective for the Company.
Review and administer compensation programs on a continuous basis and make recommendations to management that will keep the salary structure fair, competitive and within Company guidelines.
With input from company and departmental management, assess and determine training needs and recommend or facilitate training programs to increase skills and enhance positive behaviors in the work force.
Foster good employee relations by recommending and organizing programs to improve communication and by implementing programs to recognize service and contribution.
Assure that safety data is recorded appropriately; administer Workers Compensation and Return-To-Work programs; support plant and office safety programs.
Assure that procedures and policies such as leaves of absence, disciplinary action and terminations are administered and documented in compliance with Company policy, applicable law and labor regulations.
Provide support and coaching to supervisors and managers in employee relations and policy administration.
Administer the performance development program in a consistent, fair and timely manner.
Hire, train, manage and evaluate the human resource staff to assure that a high level of service is provided to the Company; set appropriate goals for the department that reflect the needs of the organization, the department and the individuals.
Increase knowledge and skills in business and human resources methodologies and keep current on issues pertaining to business, manufacturing, federal and local laws and regulations.
WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required and four to six years of related experience in manufacturing preferred. Requires the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization as well as outside agencies. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, personnel policies and procedure manuals.
Technical Skills: Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, calculator, FAX, photocopier and telephone and knowledge of Microsoft Software.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as overtime, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of governmental laws, insurance plans, and technical information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
